- Consolidate the coalition's organizational structure, including transition to a single fiscal entity
- Oversee completion and improvement of financial systems
- Lead and oversee the 2027 budget and subgrants processes
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, grant requirements, accounting standards, and financial obligations
- Monitor budget-to-actual performance and identify financial trends, variances, and underspending or overspending
- Support development and implementation of organizational security protocols
- Lead day-to-day coalition operations
- Clarify decision‑making structures, roles, responsibilities, and processes
- Ensure continuity between coalition meetings and decision‑making spaces
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to coalition leadership
- Maintain governance documentation and institutional memory
- Evaluate and strengthen coalition governance practices
- Coordinate and facilitate staff and leadership team meetings
- Plan and coordinate leadership team and coordinating committee retreats
- Provide strategic oversight of organizational priorities, projects, and meetings
- Track commitments, priorities, and deliverables and identify risks to timelines or capacity
- Report to KIWA's Executive Director, CCWP Co-Presidents, and Co-Managing Directors
- Coordinate with CCWP staff, steering committee, and policy, organizing, and communications workgroups
Requirements
- Must be California-based
- Proven and experienced operations and executive leader
- Strong systems thinking and attention to detail
- Strong project and program management skills
- Ability to develop plans, establish timelines, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure projects move from strategy to completion
- Ability to thrive in complexity, manage competing priorities, and exercise sound judgment
- Familiarity with financial systems and tools, including QuickBooks, , and related nonprofit financial management systems
- Understanding of nonprofit organizational structures, organizational development, and security
- Experience with coalition-based work
- Familiarity with the California labor movement
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proactive, solutions-oriented approach
- Three professional references

- Spanish bilingual ability is a plus
