Logistics Coordinator – CPG, Manufacturing

• Coordinate the supply chain from raw material sourcing through production and fulfillment
• Place and track purchase orders
• Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, co-packers, freight providers, customs brokers, and 3PLs
• Schedule pickups and deliveries
• Track shipments and proactively identify delays or potential issues
• Coordinate international and domestic freight across time zones including China, Hawaii, and the U.S.
• Ensure smooth handoffs between suppliers, production facilities, freight providers, and fulfillment partners
• Coordinate customs documentation and requirements
• Work with customs brokers to clear shipments efficiently
• Manage ocean and air freight shipments
• Track bills of lading, shipping documentation, delivery schedules, and related paperwork
• Work with UPS, DHL, and FedEx as required
• Assist with freight insurance and shipment-related documentation
• Create and manage purchase orders
• Track invoices and payments
• Ensure suppliers and vendors are paid appropriately and on time
• Maintain accurate records and organized documentation
• Assist with bookkeeping and intercompany paperwork
• Monitor production timelines and deadlines
• Communicate with co-packers and manufacturing partners
• Track raw materials and production requirements
• Coordinate finished goods movement to fulfillment or 3PL locations
• Flag potential supply or production issues before they impact customers
• Become the operational owner of the supply chain and reduce day-to-day coordination required from the founder

Requirements

• Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, purchasing, operations, manufacturing, freight, or a related field
• Experience coordinating multiple vendors or external partners
• Strong organizational and project-management skills
• Experience with purchase orders, invoices, shipping documentation, or similar operational paperwork
• Strong written and verbal English communication
• Excellent attention to detail
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
• Strong proficiency with spreadsheets and business software
• CPG, food & beverage, manufacturing, co-packing, or wholesale experience preferred
• International logistics and freight experience preferred
• Experience with ocean freight/LCL shipments preferred
• Experience working with customs brokers preferred
• Experience coordinating with suppliers in Asia preferred
• Familiarity with FreightOS preferred
• Experience with ClearIt preferred
• Experience coordinating with 3PLs preferred
• Basic bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred
