Manager, Automation OT Delivery

Responsibilities

• Support execution of the OT strategy and roadmap for data center growth, reliability, and security
• Manage design coordination, deployment support, and operations of BMS, PMS, SCADA, and PLC-based control systems
• Standardize OT platforms, processes, and governance across data center sites
• Oversee monitoring, alarming, and incident response for OT environments
• Implement and manage OT change control processes
• Coordinate root cause analysis and corrective actions for incidents and failures
• Coordinate vendor relationships, service delivery, and performance
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to OT engineers, technicians, and contractors
• Set team priorities, assign work, and ensure support activities are completed safely and on schedule
• Provide feedback, coaching, and performance input for direct reports and matrixed team members
• Ensure OT systems meet compliance, regulatory, and customer requirements
• Support commissioning, testing, and acceptance for new builds and retrofit projects
• Evaluate and deploy emerging technologies such as AI/ML, IoT, and digital twins
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, IT, Cybersecurity, Design, Construction, and site leadership
• Track and report OT performance, KPIs, alarms, uptime, and metrics to leadership
• Manage escalations and drive timely resolution of OT issues
• Develop and enforce SOPs and OT best practices
• Secure OT networks, patch vulnerabilities, and maintain compliance
• Maintain system drawings, network diagrams, change logs, and other OT documentation
• Support budgets, service agreements, hiring, onboarding, training, staffing, audits, compliance reviews, and customer reporting
• Lead continuous improvement in OT reliability, scalability, and sustainability

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in OT/ICS, automation, or controls; 5-7 years preferred
• Proven experience in data centers, critical facilities, utilities, or large-scale industrial environments
• Strong knowledge of BMS, PMS, SCADA, PLCs, and industrial networking protocols
• Familiarity with OT cybersecurity frameworks, such as NIST and IEC 62443
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Demonstrated ability to support scaling OT systems in a fast-growth, mission-critical environment
• Travel required at approximately 25%, potentially increasing over time
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Automation, or related field preferred but not required
• Ability to occasionally stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop or kneel, talk, and hear
• Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds
