- Lead and manage Plant Services Program Managers responsible for field deliverables involving startup and maintenance of NuScale NPMs
- Direct planning, execution, and delivery of plant services programs while meeting cost, schedule, and quality objectives
- Set performance expectations, coach and develop direct reports, conduct performance reviews, and manage workload and priorities
- Review and approve business cases, program budgets, financial performance reports, long-range planning inputs, and fiscal expenditure recommendations
- Maintain budgetary accountability for the plant services program portfolio
- Translate senior leadership direction into team goals and program objectives
- Report team performance, program health, and key metrics to the Senior Director, Plant Services
- Integrate customer needs and business competencies into plant services program strategies
- Establish performance standards, review field metrics, and ensure consistent program delivery
- Serve as senior escalation point for program process and delivery problems
- Oversee field activities, program governance, project policies, procedures, and earned value management practices
- Participate in development of NuScale Plant Services strategic plans
- Engage with Business Development, Supply Chain, PMO, customer representatives, and other stakeholders
- Monitor regulatory and industry developments and implement solutions to compliance and operational challenges
- Identify and resolve gaps between NPM design and serviceability
- Travel locally and nationally and, with training, work on active power plant construction sites
Requirements
- Minimum B.S. degree in engineering, engineering technology, or science, or 20+ years of technical work experience in the nuclear industry
- MBA or advanced engineering degree desired
- Minimum fifteen years of full-time work experience for a nuclear reactor technology development company, including five years in its services delivery organization
- Senior Reactor Operator certification at an operating nuclear generating facility, nuclear-related construction and startup experience, and/or nuclear services business development and execution experience
- Strong technical writing, communication, and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to utilize project management principles and related information technology tools across multiple nuclear services projects
- Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate personnel assigned to designated control accounts and coordinate multiple technical disciplines
- Demonstrated ownership, accountability, technical knowledge, and leadership experience in planning and executing startup and/or refueling projects in the nuclear industry
- Demonstrated ability to build, coach, and mentor teams
- Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810
- With appropriate training, able to work on an active NuScale power plant construction project site
- Ability to understand and communicate clearly using phones, personal interaction, and computers
- Ability to learn new job functions and concepts quickly and apply them accurately in a rapidly evolving environment
- Ability to travel locally and nationally using common forms of transportation
