- Respond to alerts and incidents and perform root cause analysis according to defined priorities and SLAs.
- Execute changes (GMUD) at predetermined times according to the defined implementation plan (PI).
- Report and escalation unsuccessful or recurring alerts to management.
- Configure, monitor, and optimize database instances on AWS, including Amazon RDS, Aurora, and DynamoDB.
- Install, configure, and parameterize Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases.
- Monitor instance performance and identify bottlenecks to optimize performance.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and reliability.
- Implement data backup and recovery strategies.
- Maintain scripts and stored procedures to automate tasks and ensure data consistency.
- Manage database scalability using auto-scaling and dynamic provisioning.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate databases with applications and systems.
- Provide technical support and resolve database-related issues.
- Execute procedures and create or update documents in the knowledge base.
- Create environments, perform migrations and upgrades, and apply patches.
Requirements
- Ability to work as part of a team, with strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of at least one DBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL).
- Knowledge of AWS Cloud.
- Schedule: Night shift, 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Monday to Friday.
- Education: Completed or currently pursuing a university degree.
- AWS public cloud certifications.
- Database certifications.
- SQL query tuning.
- English: Able to write and read emails and documentation, participate as a listener in meetings and training sessions.
