  • Characterize MMICs and RFICs in the micro- and millimeter-wave range (>100 GHz)

  • Carry out on-wafer measurements using wafer probers such as MPI

  • Set up, operate, and optimize RF measuring stations, including VNA with extender, probe stations, and load-pull/noise equipment when necessary

  • Carry out and evaluate S-parameter, power, and linearity measurements, including IP3 and P1dB

  • Apply calibration and de-embedding procedures, including TRL, SOLT, and LRM

  • Analyze and interpret measurement results and derive design feedback

  • Automate measurement sequences and data evaluation using Python and MATLAB

  • Support silicon bring-up and validation of new designs

  • Coordinate with internal design and test teams and external partners when necessary

  • Work in a high-end RF laboratory environment with substantial practical laboratory work

  • Collaborate in an experienced development environment and quickly become familiar with the role


Requirements



  • Degree in electrical engineering, RF technology, microelectronics or physics or comparable training

  • Several years of experience (approx. 5-8 years) in the characterization of MMICs / RFICs

  • Sound knowledge of RF and millimeter wave measurement technology (>100 GHz)

  • Practical experience with wafer probers and on-wafer measurements

  • Confident handling of VNA measurements incl. extenders

  • Experience with calibration and de-embedding techniques

  • Experience in measurement automation (Python and/or MATLAB)

  • Independent, structured way of working

  • Nice-to-have: Experience with load-pull, noise measurements or power amplifier characterization

  • Nice-to-have: Knowledge of III-V technologies (GaAs, GaN, InP)

  • Nice-to-have: Experience in dealing with test houses
