Responsibilities
- Own network architecture and standards across switching, routing, wireless, perimeter firewalls, and voice/telephony infrastructure
- Lead design reviews for practice-side network changes and net-new implementations
- Act as Tier 3 escalation authority for major network incidents
- Drive tool and vendor evaluations for network platforms
- Mentor Network Engineers and Administrators on architecture and standards
- Represent the network domain in security reviews, audits, and compliance work
- Contribute to standards evolution and the IT Standards Matrix
- Partner with Projects on complex network deliveries and clean hand-offs
- Coordinate with Systems Engineering on integration points between network and systems
- Manage strategic ISP and telecom vendor relationships
- Participate in on-call rotation
- Travel occasionally to practice sites, if needed
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support the organization's mission
Requirements
- 8 to 10 years of progressive network engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred; equivalent experience considered
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience with voice/telephony platforms (VoIP, SIP trunking, UCaaS, or contact center solutions)
- Experience with Aruba switching/wireless, Palo Alto firewalls, Fortinet, Auvik, and ServiceNow is a plus
- Healthcare-related experience preferred
- Managed Service Provider (MSP) experience preferred
