- Independently manage the day-to-day accounting for our French entity
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements under US GAAP in collaboration with external advisors, taking into account French accounting regulations
- Prepare and monitor French VAT returns and other statutory filings
- Liaise with external tax advisors, auditors and authorities in France
- Handle accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting
- Execute intercompany transactions within our international group
- Support the development and automation of accounting processes and interfaces with the accounting team
- Work closely with the operational teams at our sites in France
Requirements
- Completed commercial training or a degree with a focus on Accounting or Finance
- Several years of professional experience in French accounting
- Solid knowledge of French accounting practices and VAT
- Experience preparing monthly and annual financial statements
- Experience working in an international environment and with intercompany processes
- Excellent written and spoken French and English
- Knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS is an advantage
- Structured, independent and solution-oriented working style
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems
