• Own marketing performance and strategic direction across a portfolio of behavioral health clients
• Translate business goals, capacity, lead quality, and admissions data into marketing priorities
• Identify opportunities, performance gaps, and emerging problems before they become obvious
• Improve the systems, processes, and standards behind how the marketing product is delivered
• Help evolve the product as technology and AI change marketing execution
• Own content strategy, SEO prioritization, and technical, on-page, local, and off-page audits
• Drive audit implementation and follow-through, working directly with technical resources on fixes
• Conduct page and content QA against a high quality bar
• Extend SEO strategy into GEO/AEO, including crawling, citation, summarization, structure, schema, and authority signals
• Use AI tools to speed up audits, content QA, competitive research, and reporting
• Build lightweight internal workflows or prompts for repeatable analysis and QA tasks
• Analyze performance across organic and paid channels, connecting activity to qualified leads and revenue
• Validate data sources of truth and investigate and correct tracking or attribution discrepancies
• Turn insights into prioritized action for specialists, developers, content teams, and client services
• Review specialist work against a very high quality standard
• Build the case for and eventually hire and manage an SEO specialist and additional marketing capacity
• Coach and challenge specialists constructively
• Work directly with developers, content teams, client services, and leadership
• Communicate with specialists, executives, and clients
• Review work against elev8's quality bar before it reaches clients

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of hands‑on experience in SEO, performance marketing, or growth, ideally at a digital marketing agency or performance‑driven marketing team
  • Strong SEO experience, but you don't define yourself by SEO alone
  • A point of view on GEO/AEO and how AI search and answer engines are changing content strategy and technical SEO
  • Enough understanding of paid media, CRO, content, analytics, and web to evaluate performance and lead specialists in each
  • Fluent with AI tools for research, audits, content QA, and reporting, and you know where to trust them and where not to
  • A commercial mindset: revenue, qualified opportunities, and business outcomes matter more to you than vanity metrics
  • Excellent judgment and an unusually high quality bar; you know the difference between technically correct and actually good
  • A track record of building systems, processes, or standards that made an organization better
  • Exceptional English communication skills, verbal and written, with the confidence to explain and defend your thinking to executives and clients
  • You don't need someone constantly telling you what to do next, and you care about the outcome
