  • Support management of DOF’s annual Impact Grant, Training Institute, and emerging Deaf Nonprofit Hub
  • Manage program schedules, resources, logistics, and alignment with program goals
  • Oversee grantmaking, including application and award materials, grant review committee support, and coaching and technical assistance for grantees and deaf organizations
  • Coordinate bimonthly Training Institute sessions, including presenter selection, session materials and reports, and accommodations
  • Implement, maintain, and moderate the Deaf Nonprofit Hub’s virtual workspace
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with grantees, deaf organizations and programs, and relevant stakeholders
  • Provide oversight and guidance to independent contractors, including developing SOWs and onboarding
  • Manage program communications and marketing through media relations, social media, email, and DOF’s website
  • Serve as an interdepartmental liaison for program and service needs
  • Promote DOF’s mission, vision, values, and organizational culture
  • Represent DOF to the community
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Administration, Business, Communications, or related field; or equivalent professional experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in nonprofit programs, grant administration, community engagement, program coordination, or related fields
  • Proven track record of coordinating and executing deliverables for diverse projects or programs
  • Ability to communicate effectively using American Sign Language and written English (REQUIRED)
  • Ability to organize program priorities, ensure accountability toward program goals, and maintain productive working relationships
  • Strong execution skills, including managing competing deadlines and coordinating multiple contributors
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to different audiences, channels, and accessibility needs
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, taking initiative and direction
  • Deep understanding of and commitment to deaf communities and DOF’s mission
  • Understanding and compliance with company policies, procedures, and values
  • Ability to communicate via phone, videophone, or text messaging
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds

Core Competencies

Demonstrates strong program coordination and grant administration skills, with a proven ability to manage diverse projects and engage effectively with deaf communities. Proficient in American Sign Language and written English, ensuring clear communication and collaboration across various stakeholders.
