- Provide holistic, patient-centered psychiatric care as part of an interdisciplinary care team including MDs, CNMs, and LCSWs
- Perform comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to determine treatment and care needs
- Prescribe psychotropic and other medications according to diagnoses, conditions, accepted protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Reconcile current medications and determine which orders to continue, modify, or stop
- Monitor health status, care efficacy, safety issues, and treatment responses
- Review medical records, lab results, prior medications, medical and family history, and prior hospitalizations
- Refer patients to psychotherapy services and collaborate with providers
- Provide patient education and resources related to diagnoses and medications
- Complete comprehensive clinical documentation in the EMR system
Requirements
- Master's degree from an accredited nursing program
- Unrestricted Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license with the Florida Board of Nursing
- Prescriptive authorization and DEA license required
- Broad clinical experience required
- Women's health and perinatal experience preferred
- Experience working as part of an interdisciplinary care team preferred
- Excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills
