- Driving the evolution of our geocoding systems from rule-based logic to ML-based matching and normalization.
- Building and improving confidence and relevance scoring models, including automated false-positive detection.
- Developing and productionizing data-driven solutions to improve geocoding quality.
- Exploring and prototyping new use cases, such as “last meter” challenges.
- Automating benchmarking and evaluation pipelines to measure model performance.
- Driving cross-team initiatives, contributing to the long-term data strategy, and mentoring more junior data scientists.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Data Science with a proven track record of productionizing complex models and tackling geospatial data challenges.
- Strong skills in Python and SQL, combined with hands‑on experience in AWS (Athena, Sage Maker), Snowflake, and dbt.
- Practical experience with data orchestration tools (e. g. Airflow or Dagster) and data visualization via Metabase or Quicksight.
- Ability to autonomously develop new strategies from scratch and identify high‑impact opportunities within vast datasets.
- Strong ownership mindset and communication skills to drive cross‑functional projects and mentor team members. xayajpt
