Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership and expert guidance on mission-critical electrical systems across the EMEA portfolio.
Develop and maintain electrical engineering standards, equipment specifications and resilience strategies aligned to STACK operational requirements.
Support electrical studies, modelling activities and validation of system performance, settings and design assumptions.
Review design and engineering documentation, technical submissions and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with operational and performance requirements.
Support commissioning, operational acceptance and handover activities for new facilities, expansions and major upgrades.
Define and assure operational acceptance criteria, testing requirements and documentation standards to support successful transition into live operations.
Serve as the Authorising Engineer (AE) for Electrical Safety Rules, ensuring robust governance, safe systems of work and compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
Conduct technical assurance reviews and site audits, identifying opportunities to improve safety, reliability and operational performance.
Provide technical escalation support during major incidents, supporting high-quality root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
Support development of maintenance methodologies, operational procedures and engineering standards across the portfolio.
Identify opportunities to improve electrical efficiency, reduce operational risk and enhance system resilience.
Provide technical oversight of vendors, contractors and service providers, ensuring consistency and quality across facilities.
Coach and mentor engineers and operational teams, supporting capability development across the EMEA portfolio.
Requirements
Extensive experience working with mission-critical electrical infrastructure, ideally within data centre environments.
Experience reviewing and supporting the design of mission-critical electrical systems.
Advanced knowledge of MV/LV distribution, UPS systems, generators, protection systems, earthing and electrical monitoring platforms.
Strong understanding of electrical safety, operational risk management and resilience within live critical environments.
Experience supporting design reviews, commissioning, operational acceptance and technical assurance activities.
Proven ability to develop engineering standards, governance frameworks and operational best practices.
Strong technical judgement, analytical capability and structured problem-solving skills.
Ability to influence, coach and collaborate effectively across engineering, operations and delivery teams.
Degree, HND/HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
Professional accreditation or chartership is desirable.
Strong written and verbal English language skills.
Experience working across multiple European markets is advantageous.
