Senior Manager, Presales Engineering

• Lead, mentor, and coach a team of five senior presales engineers
• Improve lower-mid-market ERP sales productivity and deal flow
• Work strategic deals while managing the presales engineering team
• Discover customer requirements and build complete solutions using core Acumatica software, ISV solutions, AI, and professional services
• Develop scalable processes involving Acumatica partners, internal sales teams, implementation, and professional services
• Maintain ERP domain expertise across accounting, construction, wholesale distribution, retail, manufacturing, field service, and professional services
• Personally lead demonstrations and proposals in one or more areas of vertical expertise
• Lead technical discovery and solutioning for strategic opportunities
• Integrate core capabilities, AI, ISV solutions, and custom development into proposals and project plans
• Consult with and train Acumatica partners to improve opportunity close rates
• Identify partner shortfalls and develop enablement materials with the team and Acumatica education
• Translate company goals into measurable KPIs
• Monitor opportunity win rates, sales cycle time, utilization, and skillset coverage
• Identify team shortfalls and plan corrective actions to meet or exceed sales targets
• Report to the VP of Presales Engineering and Architecture

Requirements

• 5+ years of personal experience building solutions and demonstrating business management software solutions
• 5+ years of direct experience managing and mentoring a team of presales engineers
• Direct, hands-on experience with implementations, sales, or presales in lower-mid-market manufacturing, construction, and/or distribution businesses under $100 million
• Proven ability to recruit, develop, and mentor presales engineers
• Understanding of lower-mid-sized business operations
• Ability to architect solutions involving multiple software products, resource constraints, integrations, and customizations
• Ability to discover customer issues and solve ambiguous problems
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Experience speaking in public and instructing in a classroom or small group
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business
• Ability to travel 10%-20% of the time
• MBA is a plus
• CPA is a plus
• Channel sales experience is a plus
• Technical background is a plus
