- Own and manage customer accounts and all aspects of customer relationships
- Interface directly with airlines to identify customer needs and develop new client relationships
- Understand customer organization, culture, structure, decision makers, and decision-making process
- Manage overall customer satisfaction
- Balance customer demands and needs with business strategy and needs
- Prepare pursuit and capture strategies and present them to leadership
- Provide accurate and timely orders and sales forecasting
- Establish and manage the orders pipeline
- Track sales activity, calls, emails, opportunities, and campaign metrics using a CRM
- Coordinate with other business units to maximize sales opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction
- Work with cross-functional teams to influence decisions and drive results
- Network with Collins Aerospace contacts and external contacts to support successful business capture
- Provide marketing organizations with market, customer, and competitive information
- Participate in regional tradeshows and promote Collins Aerospace’s brand and solutions
- Grow the Commercial Avionics business through prospecting, pursuit strategy execution, and closing complex deals
- Work directly with Commercial Airlines in the United States and Canada
Requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
- Prior sales experience required
- Prior aviation experience required
- Experience selling into Large Accounts
- Prior experience within the aerospace industry preferred
- Prior experience managing and owning relationships with key customers and driving business growth preferred
- Prior experience working collaboratively among internal and external stakeholders preferred
- Fluent French speaking ability preferred, not required
- Previous pilot experience preferred, not required
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company immigration sponsorship now or in the future
- No security clearance required
- Expected travel upwards of 50%
- Preferred to live near a major/international airport
