- Serve as the Center's subject-matter expert in immigration practice, legal ethics, and professionalism
- Provide one-to-one confidential guidance to AILA members on legal ethics, law firm management, marketing, technology, financial management, and immigration careers
- Research and analyze member legal ethics issues and provide guidance to resolve ethics dilemmas
- Develop and deliver articles, publications, educational programs, practice tools, ethics resources, and thought leadership
- Identify emerging member needs and practice challenges and develop resources, programs, and solutions
- Serve as staff liaison and strategic advisor to assigned committees
- Partner with the Director on guidance concerning AI, legal technology, and government digitization
- Co-manage Center staff and serve as lead when the Director is unavailable
- Develop and produce key performance indicators on a regular cadence
- Create and present original legal education programs at national and chapter conferences
- Participate in conferences, member events, organizational meetings, and other business travel
Requirements
- J.D. degree required
- Active bar admission required in any U.S. jurisdiction
- 5+ years of combined experience in immigration law practice and law practice management
- Demonstrated experience in law practice management - running a practice or advising lawyers on practice operations
- Experience advising lawyers on legal ethics issues
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment
- Ability to work extended periods at a computer workstation and participate in virtual meetings
- Ability to work occasional extended hours, including evenings and weekends
- Ability to travel occasionally, including potential domestic or international travel
- Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship

- Prior supervisory or talent-development experience, including delegation, coaching, and performance management, preferred
- Prior experience in an association, member-service, or customer-service environment is a plus
