Responsibilities
- Support AP1000 new build projects as a Commercial Grade Dedication Subject Matter Expert
- Provide technical leadership, oversight, review, and governance of supplier CGD programs
- Ensure commercial-grade items used in safety-related applications meet design, regulatory, and quality requirements
- Serve as Design Authority SME for CGD across AP1000 projects
- Determine safety functions and critical characteristics using design documentation
- Review supplier CGD procedures, plans, and methodologies
- Evaluate technical adequacy of item determinations, critical characteristics, and methods
- Ensure compliance with 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR Part 21, and EPRI guidance
- Resolve technical gaps, risks, and nonconformances
- Collaborate with suppliers, EPC partners, and engineering teams
- Integrate CGD requirements into design, procurement, and construction processes
- Develop guidance, training, and best practices
- Report to the Manager of Operations
Requirements
- B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear, Civil, or related)
- 15+ years of nuclear industry experience
- Expertise in Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) and procurement engineering
- Knowledge of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR Part 21, nuclear QA, and EPRI CGD guidance
- Experience reviewing or governing supplier CGD programs
- AP1000 or new build / EPC project experience
- Background in Design Authority or engineering oversight roles
- NRC audit/inspection experience
- PE license or advanced degree
- Must meet applicable United States and comparable export control requirements where applicable
