- Own quality across a React Native mobile application and a Next.js web experience backed by Java/Spring Boot services and a Node BFF
- Execute manual and exploratory testing for web and mobile releases
- Use browser developer tools to diagnose and localize issues
- Debug React Native applications on real devices, simulators, and emulators
- Analyze Datadog logs, dashboards, error tracking, and session replay
- Test REST APIs, authentication, authorization, role-based access, service-to-service behavior, data pipelines, retries, idempotency, and edge cases
- Write actionable bug reports with reproduction steps and supporting evidence
- Build and maintain regression suites and release checklists
- Increase automation coverage and use AI-assisted tooling for test generation, log analysis, and investigation
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and design throughout development and release cycles
- Report test coverage, defects, and release risk
- Define team standards for test coverage, bug intake, triage, and release readiness
- Verify fixes and promote continuous improvement
Requirements
- Candidates must be authorized to work in and be located in Mexico
- Comfortable using browser developer tools to inspect JavaScript errors, network requests, payloads, status codes, headers, storage, and device emulation
- Experience testing and debugging React Native applications on real iOS and Android devices, simulators, and emulators
- Ability to read native device and crash logs and use React Native debugging tools
- Experience designing and building automated test suites from scratch using Playwright for web and Maestro for mobile
- Experience with Postman or comparable API testing tools
- Basic SQL, specifically Postgres, and comfort reading structured application logs
- Familiarity with Datadog or a comparable observability platform
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions
- Active use of AI tooling in day-to-day work
