- Maintain existing systems and help shape the modernization of the infrastructure
- Administer Windows and Linux servers
- Serve as a subject-matter expert and facilitator for the migration from Windows hosting to Linux servers, containerization, and Kubernetes
- Help design CI/CD pipelines and monitoring solutions
- Ensure the smooth operation and ongoing development of the office server and operational infrastructure
- Develop and implement proposals for infrastructure adjustments based on new product requirements
- Ensure the reliable operation of business-critical applications and enable rapid deployments
- Advise Product Owners and Business Consultants on operations-focused product development and customer deployment
- Work closely with two colleagues on operating and further developing the infrastructure
- Operate and test AI models using vLLM and Ollama
- Administer IIS servers and SQL Server databases, and introduce Kubernetes and PostgreSQL
Requirements
- Completed degree or vocational training in computer science, or equivalent professional experience
- Several years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer or IT System Administrator
- Strong knowledge of Linux
- Strong knowledge of virtualization with Proxmox
- Strong knowledge of containerization with Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools, particularly GitLab CI
- Experience administering and operating Windows Server solutions, such as Active Directory, IIS, and SQL Server
- Strong hands-on mentality, sound process understanding, and a solution-oriented, structured approach to work
- Willingness to work independently and take responsibility within a small team
- Willingness to share and communicate knowledge
- Fluent German, at least C1 level
- Very good English skills
- Preferred: Experience operating larger database server infrastructures based on SQL Server or PostgreSQL
