- Develop product vision and working prototypes for the next-generation sports app.
- Own strategic visioning and design output with cross-functional leadership.
- Drive product decisions that align the executive team.
- Bring data-backed perspectives to product planning and influence business priorities and metrics.
- Partner with the VP of Engineering, VP of Data, and Chief Product Officer.
- Review flows, work directly in Figma, and prototype alongside the design team.
- Define tools, workflows, and team structure for an AI-native design practice.
- Build, coach, and manage a design organization of approximately 10 people.
- Establish clear accountability for team and individual deliverables.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, data, marketing, and commercial leadership.
- Report to the Chief Product Officer.
Requirements
- Someone who is a sports fan first, who uses the product, has opinions about it, and lets that passion show up in the work.
- A design leader with a track record of hands-on craft at senior levels.
- Recent, personal work demonstrating hands-on craft.
- Experience leading a design org through a step-change in how it works, ideally involving AI tooling and workflow, at a company shipping consumer product at scale.
- Strong, well-argued opinions about what makes a sports product, or a comparable habit-forming consumer product, great.
- Conviction to defend product opinions in a room of product and engineering leaders.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity.
- Some regular travel is required.
- Experience starting or running your own company or side project is nice to have.
