Sustainable change.As Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer, you will be a key player in the execution of projects crucial to decarbonization of Vienna by 2040, such as: Modernisation of existing energy production facilities (e.g. upgrading a waste incineration plant on the basis of the circular economy) Construction of new alternative energy generation plants (e.g. biomass, wind farm, geothermal etc) Hydrogen production or application (e.g. construction of hydrogen production facilities) Combined generation plants for heating and cooling energy as well as electricity (e.g. either construction or modernisation of existing plant for combined generation of electricity, heating and cooling energy such as natural gas and renewable energy sources) Waste generation and management (e.g. construction of recycling plants, plants for the treatment of sewage sludge and phosphorus recovery). Your key responsibilities will be: Design and specify low and medium voltage electrical systems for new and existing industrial plants and facilities contributing to the energy transition and the circular economy. Design and specify control systems: concept, topology, functional description, instrumentation. Integrate advanced technologies to enhance the efficiency of electrical components. Ensure adherence to electrical codes, standards, and environmental regulations. Cover all project phases (concept design, preliminary design, procurement, site supervision and commissioning). Contribute to project deliverables (consumers list, instrument list, standard product catalogue, functional descriptions, single line diagrams, cable routing drawings, specifications) Coordinate with other trades (mainly process, mechanical and civil engineering) to guarantee best project quality. Interact with clients and suppliers to ensure a successful project execution. Master degree in electrical engineering or technical school (HTL). Practical experience as an electrical engineer within one or more of the following sectors: power generation, power distribution, infrastructure, industrial plants and facilities. Knowledge of power distribution, power train, instrumentation, and control systems. Experience in concept development, specifications of electrical systems, site supervision and commissioning. Optional experience in design of high-voltage transmission and switchgear components. Deep passion for driving positive environmental impact through innovative and sustainable energy solutions. Showcase effective teamwork ability. Excellent English language skills, German language skills are a bonus.
