What will you do We are seeking a strategic and hands‑on Manager, Solution and Campaign Marketing to join our Brand & Industries Marketing Squad. In this role, you will own marketing for a defined set of industry verticals, leading the end‑to‑end development of how we position and bring Johnson Controls to market in a specific industries. You will develop customer value propositions and activate them through integrated global campaigns to drive awareness, engagement, and demand across targeted industries.
This role requires a seasoned marketer with a strong grasp of customer value propositions, audience strategy, campaign development, positioning, and cross‑functional collaboration. You are a strong communicator and influencer, able to drive projects forward with clear direction and align stakeholders. You will manage internal and external resources and take end‑to‑end ownership for delivering high‑impact marketing that supports business objectives and elevates our brand presence.
How will you do it Ownership of industry marketing for specific industries
Develop marketing strategies tailored to assigned industries, with clear accountability for outcomes and performance.
Conduct market research to understand customer needs, buying behaviors, market trends, and competitive dynamics.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including Product Management, Sales, and Customer Support—to align marketing efforts with business objectives and customer expectations.
Act as the conduit between product marketing and the Brand & Industries squad, bringing product insights into campaign development and ensuring messaging is validated and aligned with solution capabilities.
Engage with customers and internal stakeholders to continuously refine industry understanding and marketing direction.
Develop customer value proposition and positioning
Own industry positioning by translating market insights into clear strategic direction for value propositions and campaigns.
Create compelling customer messaging that brings the value proposition to life for target personas.
Translate complex technical capabilities into clear, benefit‑driven narratives that address customer pain points and business outcomes.
Ensure consistency of value propositions across all marketing channels and touchpoints.
Support sales enablement by developing tools and training that reinforce the differentiated value of our solutions.
Activate global campaigns and content
Own campaign strategy from concept through performance optimization.
Lead go‑to‑market plans, including product launches, promotional campaigns, and thought leadership initiatives.
Manage and coordinate internal and external resources to deliver high‑impact marketing across channels, including collateral, advertising, tradeshows, digital content, public relations, and internal communications.
Track and analyze campaign performance, identifying conversion bottlenecks and optimizing tactics.
Partner with Sales and CRM teams to ensure seamless lead handoff, monitor pipeline progression, and refine campaigns based on closed‑loop feedback.
Operate effectively within a global, matrixed organization, aligning GEOs, COEs, and agency partners behind a unified campaign approach.
What we look for Required
Minimum of 8 years of experience in B2B marketing, preferably in industrial, technology, or building solutions sectors.
Proven ability to own and drive marketing strategy and execution in a global or matrixed environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and align cross‑functional teams.
Previous experience in solution and product marketing.
Proficiency in marketing automation tools and CRM software.
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or a related field. MBA is a plus.
Experience in vertical marketing or industry‑specific campaign development.
Familiarity with HVAC, energy, automation, or building technologies.
