They work with the guidance of Staff/ Senior Packaging Development leadership. /p h3Position Duties And Responsibilities /h3 ul liDevelops packaging for medical devices with mentor oversight. /li liEnhances and validates package components and packaging processes. /li liDevelops package testing plans and interprets results as required for various projects. /li liParticipates in process improvement, cost improvement, quality improvement, change control or task teams. /li liParticipates and advises in decisions involving equipment, package design, cost saving and source reduction. /li liBuilds technical competencies in packaging materials and processes used in all manufacturing processes. /li liParticipates and provides technical expertise for risk assessment and compliance assurance programs. /li liAssure delivery of robust, cost effective, fully compliant packaging solutions that meet current and evolving customers need. /li liKnows and follows all laws and policies that apply to one's job, and maintains the highest levels of professionalism, ethics and compliance at all times. /li /ul h3Extended duties are assigned depending on the packaging business area the employee is supporting : /h3 ul liPackaging representative for special project execution /li liDesigns packaging for medical devices with mentor oversight /li liSupport validation of package systems /li liCoordinates and executes physical testing to ensure product and package integrity for manufacturing through end users. /li liCreates package distribution and shelf-life testing plans, interprets results as required for various projects and communicates those to appropriate groups /li liReviews and updates technical reports, procedures, policies, and other sources of information to ensure that validations and procedures are consistent with current industry, regulatory requirements and current technology /li liSupport test method validation to assure a successful and on-time implementation of the equipment in our test laboratory /li liInterprets all test method validation results and creates related documentation /liliSupport and lead small frontend Package Development projects, involvement in design concept development /li liUnderstanding of production processes as well as manufacturability of new design concepts /li liSupport and preparation of VOCs /li liLead small potential design problems related to material characteristics, dimensional tolerances, manufacturing procedures (trouble shooting) /li liSupport statistical methods and process/design excellence tools /li liSupport design/process failure mode effects and analysis /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 h3Education Requirements /h3 ul liBachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent Technical Degree or extensive relevant experience required. /li /ul h3Experience /h3 ul liBasic knowledge of common packaging materials and packaging technologies for medical devices /li liTechnical writing skills is preferred /li liKnowledge of design and manufacturing FMEA preferred /li liPolymer knowledge preferred /li /ul h3Interpersonal Skills/ Characteristics /h3 ul liTeam player /li liProblem Solving Skills /li liCreative thinker /li liAble to work independently /li liWillingness to learn /li ligood communicator /li liProficiency in Microsoft Office applications /li liProficiency in Microsoft Office applications /li liProfessional-level English /li li20 % of travel /li /ul pWe will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform crucial job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment.
