Implement standardized policies, practices, performance metrics, RACI, and a governance model for critical trade capabilities enabled via GTS, SAP S/4, and other systems. Champion automation of compliance checks through GTS–SAP S/4 integration, enabling real‑time screening and transactional blocks for non‑compliant shipments. Oversee retirement of fragmented GTS instances across legacy ERPs and phase out stand‑alone trade tools. Prioritize and advance proposed GTS capability upgrades across OTC and MAKE, removing manual trade content updates and enabling FTA functionality. Shape the roadmap for emerging capabilities such as customs broker EDI/API, US export electronic self‑filing, regulatory license screening, supplier declarations, shipper letters of instruction, and special customs procedures. Organizational Design & Operating Model Definition
Define the future‑state organizational design required to deploy, execute, and sustain new trade compliance capabilities. Establish decision rights, accountabilities, and hand‑offs across Global Trade Controls, Global Trade & Transport Operations, regional Deliver trade teams, and TranSCend delivery teams. Design scalable roles, responsibilities, RACI, governance forums, and escalation pathways to support compliant execution. Ensure capability adoption by aligning people, process, data, and technology with the Trade Operating Model and the MedTech TranSCend deployment roadmap. Compliance, Controls & Governance
Reduce compliance risk through automated, real‑time due diligence for export/import shipments. Establish consistent audit traceability and controlled system access with real‑time worklists, reporting, and operational metrics. Keep solutions current by aligning with evolving export controls and trade sanctions regulations, leveraging the GTS two‑year release cycle. Capability Roadmap, Deployment & Master Data
Align GTS and SAP S/4 trade capability deployment with the MedTech TranSCend timeline across ~50 sites worldwide. Sponsor and complete FTA Proof of Concept; scale successful implementations across sites and product flows. Define master data enablement requirements such as Country of Origin, costed bill of materials, classification codes, and long‑term supplier declarations. Identify capabilities to be solutioned outside GTS (e.g., customs valuation, export invoices) and ensure appropriate systems and tools are used. Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Law, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; advanced degree or professional trade compliance certification preferred. 10+ years of progressive experience in global trade compliance, customs, or international trade operations, with significant time in a regulated industry. Demonstrated experience as a business process owner or lead on SAP GTS and/or SAP S/4 trade compliance implementations.
