Position Overview
Commercial Sales & Development Manager (m/f/d) EMEA develops and delivers commercial onboarding and ongoing capability-building for new hires and field teams across EMEA. The role coaches in the field, reinforces best practices (sales and non‑sales communication models), and strengthens execution in messaging, resource utilization, account strategy, and territory management. Reporting to the Director of Commercial Excellence EMEA and aligned with the Area VP EMEA, the manager co‑owns end‑to‑end training design and delivery—curriculum development, session planning, facilitation, measurement, and long‑range capability planning (e.g., competitive selling, capital sales, leadership, and ongoing development workshops). In close partnership with the US Commercial Training team, Marketing, Sales Operations, Training, and Sales Leadership, this role helps teams exceed commercial, clinical, and business objectives in a fast‑growing, complex sales environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sales and commercial training programs and coordinate with Marketing, Healthcare Economics & Market Access, and Medical Affairs.
- Deliver classroom and in‑field coaching that reinforces the Integrity Selling model.
- Schedule and conduct field rides and mentor pairings to accelerate skill development and commercial transitions.
- Ensure consistent use of marketing messaging, tools, and promotional pathways in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Plan, implement, and present Abiomed sales and commercial initiatives as required.
- Provide timely field‑ride and performance feedback to Zone/Regional Managers, Sales Directors, and Commercial Excellence leadership.
- Develop SOPs and optimize commercial tools and analytics (D.O.C. strategies, Plan of Action, Post Event Review, dashboards, Salesforce).
- Design and run DOC follow‑ups (30/60/90 days) and tailor reinforcement pathways for communication and selling skills.
- Co‑develop regional trainings and curricula aligned to Leaders’ Intent and Integrity Selling (clinical positioning and protected procedures).
- Partner cross‑functionally to advance commercial capabilities, support launches, and drive execution of tactical plans.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years MedTech sales experience
- In‑hospital sales and/or clinical consultant experience
- Strong formal and/or informal leadership skills, high potential for future leadership
- Demonstrates a “Patient First” mentality in practice
- Must have a passion for coaching and mentoring
- Ability to influence through data‑driven recommendations
- Expert on business practices, franchise management and resource utilization
- Display strong clinical/product knowledge and patient management techniques
- Strong understanding of business analytics; Salesforce and Tableau proficiency
- Strong computer and organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; German is a preferred second language
- Ability to travel frequently (60‑75%) throughout Europe and occasionally to the US.

Salary
€76 100,00 – €122 705,00
