Job Description
Abiomed, Johnson & Johnson is looking for a motivated Lead Supervisor (m/f/d) to oversee our logistics team and ensure the efficient management of our supply chain.
Task And Responsibilities
- Supervises individual contributors and is responsible for effective performance management.
- Oversees high-level warehouse and distribution logistics operations across the supply chain, from the initial receipt of components in material movement to the final distribution and transportation of finished goods.
- Supports initiatives to ensure that all warehouse areas are properly maintained and that products are stored and handled in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as federal and local regulatory requirements.
- Measures and monitors site inventory by verifying the accuracy of all transactions and following departmental cycle count programs to avoid physical inventory discrepancies.
- Collects relevant, current competitor activity and announcements to develop innovative ideas for new warehouse and distribution strategies.
- Ensures core warehouse and distribution procedures comply with local and federal regulatory policies and requirements.
- Responsible for managing the operational aspects of the team (e.g., workflows, performance, and compliance) as well as achieving team goals within expected standards.
- Understands and applies the Johnson & Johnson Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day‑to‑day interactions with the team.
Experience and Education
- Education: University degree in logistics, business administration, or a comparable qualification, ideally with leadership experience.
- Experience: Several years of experience leading a logistics team, experience in strategic planning and cross‑functional management.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Certifications/licenses
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge in process optimization, safety regulations, quality management, budgeting.
- Skills: Leadership, decision‑making, conflict resolution, strong communication skills.
- Competencies: Strategic planning, employee development, change management, driving efficiency in warehouse and shipping.
- Language skills: German (native or fluent) and English (very good in spoken and written).
- Proficiency in Excel and Word.
- Project management experience is desirable.
- Willingness to work shifts and travel.
