Overview
As an Associate Package Development Engineer, you will contribute to the design, validation, and scale-up of packaging solutions for medical devices. You will work under guidance to develop and improve packaging components, ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams on risk assessment, validation, and process improvements that support reliable manufacturing. This role sits at the intersection of packaging design, engineering rigor, and manufacturing readiness, enabling safer, smarter, and more cost-effective medical devices. Verantwortungsbereiche
- Develop and optimize packaging for medical devices with mentor oversight
- Create and execute package testing plans and interpret results
- Participate in process, cost, quality improvement, and change control efforts
- Contribute to equipment, package design, and source reduction decisions
- Build expertise in packaging materials and processes across manufacturing
- Support risk assessment and compliance programs for packaging
- Ensure robust, compliant packaging solutions meeting customer needs
- Assist and lead small frontend packaging development projects
- Understand production processes and manufacturability of new designs
- Prepare VOCs and lead design problem investigations related to materials and tolerances
- Support statistical methods and design/process FMEA
- Lead small packaging design projects and validate packaging concepts
- Coordinate and perform physical testing to validate packaging through manufacturing to end users
- Review and update technical documentation to stay aligned with standards
- Provide documentation for test method validation and related results
- Ensure on-time implementation of equipment in test laboratories
