We are bootstrapped, cash-flow positive and growing in triple digits. /p pWe are now hiring someone to run finance and legal while we expand across Europe and into the US. /p h3Tasks /h3 pYou report to the CEO and take over finance and legal. Today this work is split between the founders, our fiduciary and outside counsel. You bring it into one place and build it out. /p pFinance /p pYou own the numbers we run the company on. We are bootstrapped, so no investor money covers a bad month. /p ul liMonthly close on a fixed date, with our fiduciary and auditors /li liOperating model, cash forecast and runway in CHF, EUR and USD /li liSaaS metrics and billing: ARR, retention, CAC, payback /li liCohort analysis, quote-to-cash and revenue recognition /li liPayroll, insurance and tax /li /ul pLegal /p pSales closes a standard deal without you. When a deal is not standard, they hear back from you within a day. /p ul liContract templates, fallback positions and redlines for order forms, MSAs, partner and supplier agreements and NDAs /li liGDPR and revDSG, DPAs, subprocessors, TOMs, and the security questionnaires that come with every enterprise deal /li liInsurance, employment law in CH, DE, FR and the US, and the decision on ISO 27001 or SOC 2 /li /ul pBuilding the group /p pWe are setting up the US subsidiary right now, and you will own it. /p ul liIncorporation, intercompany agreement and transfer pricing between the Swiss parent and the international entity /li liRegistered agent, state registrations, payroll and sales tax nexus /li liA consolidation that stays clean as we add entities /li liChoosing the finance and legal tools, and deciding what to automate, what to outsource and what to keep in-house /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul li5+ years in finance and in either legal or commercial contracting /li liHands-on experience with accounting, payroll and tax /li liYou redline a SaaS contract yourself and know when to call counsel /li liSaaS finance: subscription revenue, retention cohorts, unit economics, quote-to-cash /li liFluent German and English at work. Our customers, our fiduciary and our contracts use both. /li liYou are happy to be the first hire in the function. You build the model and chase the invoices yourself, with no team under you at the start. /li /ul pNice to have /p ul liYou have set up a foreign subsidiary before, including intercompany pricing /li liExperience with SMB customers and with getting them to pay on time /li liViews on finance tools and a habit of automating routine work /li /ul pThe role is hands-on for a while and covers both finance and legal.
