Duties
- Provide oversight, program direction, and leadership of the directorate, coordinating and synchronizing efforts of five divisions to ensure operational end-state is achieved.
- Directly supervise and rate front office personnel, military, and Division Chiefs.
- Assign work via the Task Management Tool (TMT) or verbal/written orders to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty, and requirements of the assignment.
- Responsible for the entire budgetary process (e.g., program objective memorandums (POM), integrated priority lists (IPL), annual spend plan development), coordinating efforts between this and other directorates (e.g., J5, J8, Comptroller).
- Represent the directorate to the highest standard with senior US military, government, and international leadership.
- Work with the staff, GCC comptroller and program/resource management staff, and the contract management board to prepare the directorate's annual and out-year budget.
- Participate in the development and implementation of both short- and long-term operational, administrative, and budgetary policy, plans, goals, and objectives for the directorate.

- Member of Ready Reserve must be released from reserve status to go into emergency essential positions.
- A medical examination required: If selected, satisfactory completion of a medical examination is required before assignment to the position.
- Positions designated "Mission Essential" per DODI 3020.42.
- In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disasters), the incumbent is required to report to/remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- Required to keep a command cell phone - required to return to duty within 60 minutes after receipt of notification.
- In conformance with AR 600-500, Standard of Conduct for DA personnel, Paragraphs 3-1 and 3-2A, incumbent of this position must file a Statement of Employment and Financial Interests.
- This position may require a 1 year probationary period during which the agency evaluates your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management’s (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

One year of specialized experience which includes:
- Strategic Program Management and Leadership: Managing a major program or branch within a large organization to ensure program deliverables meet established organizational goals.
- Logistics and Operational Planning: Leading the development of complex logistics and operational plans by facilitating key stages of processes such as the military operational planning process (OPP).
- Fiscal Management and Interagency Coordination: Overseeing financial execution of fiscal resources for a directorate to ensure audit readiness.
