The role is accountable for commercial performance, service quality, risk management, and the development of high-performing teams, while supporting client relationships and business growth. ## **Key Roles and Responsibilities** **Strategic & Commercial Leadership** * Lead and grow the Cost Management / Quantity Surveying practice in line with business objectives.* Contribute to market strategy, service innovation, and positioning of cost management services.* Oversee financial performance, including revenue, margins, fee proposals, and cost control.* Support business development activities, including bids, tenders, and client presentations. **Client & Stakeholder Management** * Act as a senior client interface, building long-term, trusted client relationships.* Provide strategic cost advice to clients at portfolio, program, and project levels.* Manage client expectations, ensuring services are delivered to agreed scope, quality, and timelines.* Resolve complex commercial, contractual, or cost-related issues. **Project & Technical Oversight** * Provide governance and assurance across major projects and programs.* Ensure consistent application of cost management best practices, standards, and methodologies.* Review and approve key deliverables, including cost plans, estimates, cash flows, and final accounts.* Advise on procurement strategies, risk management, value engineering, and commercial outcomes. **Risk, Quality & Compliance** * Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, professional standards, and internal policies.* Identify and manage commercial, contractual, and delivery risks.* Drive continuous improvement in quality, accuracy, and efficiency of cost management services. **People Leadership & Development** * Lead, mentor, and develop cost management teams across multiple levels.* Support workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, and succession planning.* Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture.* Champion professional development and knowledge sharing. **Collaboration & Governance** * Collaborate with other disciplines and business lines to deliver integrated client solutions.* Contribute to leadership forums, governance processes, and strategic initiatives.* Represent the Cost Management / Quantity Surveying function internally and externally. **Key Skills & Experience** * Extensive experience in cost management / quantity surveying within the built environment.* Strong commercial acumen, leadership capability, and client management skills.* Deep understanding of contracts, procurement routes, and construction economics.* Professional qualification and relevant chartership (as applicable). *This role operates at a senior leadership level and is responsible for delivering commercial value, technical excellence, and sustainable growth of the Cost Management / Quantity Surveying function.* **Location:**On-site –Frankfurt am Main, DEUIf this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet all of the requirements.
