Monitoring / Observability Engineer

pbOverview: /b We are looking for a bMonitoring / Observability Engineer /b to design, implement, and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions for complex, distributed application environments. You will work closely with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure our systems are observable, reliable, and quickly diagnosable when issues occur. /p pbTasks /b /p pbResponsibilities: /b /p ul liDesign, implement, and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions for complex distributed systems. /li liDevelop and maintain Grafana dashboards and Prometheus-based monitoring. /li liDefine meaningful metrics, alerts, thresholds, and monitoring strategies. /li liMonitor Java-based backend applications, APIs, microservices, and supporting infrastructure. /li liAnalyze monitoring data to identify performance issues, system failures, and potential incidents. /li liSupport troubleshooting and root-cause analysis using metrics, logs, and other observability data. /li liContinuously improve monitoring coverage, alert quality, and system visibility. /li liCollaborate with developers, DevOps, infrastructure, and operations teams to improve system reliability. /li liContribute to the standardization and automation of monitoring and alerting processes. /li /ul pbRequirements /b /p pbQualifications: /b /p ul liStrong hands-on experience with Grafana and Prometheus. /li liProven experience implementing and maintaining monitoring and alerting solutions. /li liExperience monitoring Java-based backend applications. /li liExperience working with complex distributed systems, microservices, or similar environments. /li liGood understanding of application performance, system metrics, and troubleshooting. /li liExperience with Linux-based environments. /li liFamiliarity with cloud, containers, Kubernetes, or other DevOps technologies is a strong advantage. /li liAbility to analyze technical issues and work effectively with development and infrastructure teams. /li liGood communication skills and a structured, problem-solving approach. /li liFluent in English and German, both written and spoken. /li /ul #J-18808-Ljbffr
