Client Tax Service Associate (all genders) in Mülheim an der Ruhr

Overview

In this role you support German and Swiss clients with timely, precise tax service, handling requests from first contact to resolution. You will execute core tax operations, support relief at source and reclaim activities, and help manage expiring documentation. You work closely with cross-functional partners and the global tax team to identify risks and improve processes, delivering compliant, client-focused tax services. This position emphasizes regulatory excellence, operational efficiency, and strong collaboration within a global, client-centric area.

Verantwortungsbereiche

• Act as the first point of contact for client tax requests
• Manage inquiries and distribute tax information to clients
• Execute daily tax operations processes and controls
• Support clients with outstanding and expiring tax documentation
• Support relief at source and retrospective reclaim processes
• Collaborate with stakeholders across departments and the global tax team
• Identify and escalate tax risks, participating in resolution
• Assist in client tax account reviews and ad-hoc projects
• Continually review and enhance operational tax processes

Zentrale Anforderungen

• Initial experience in a tax environment
• Working knowledge of tax duties of a depot bank in Germany
• Familiarity with German Investment Tax Act, and international source tax
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and mainframe systems
• Fluency in English and German (spoken and written)
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational, time-management, and multi-tasking abilities
