Join us at JPMorgan & Chase Co. at our newest European hub for Chase bank, located in Germany. We are looking for a passionate Risk Governance & Documentation – Senior Associate / Vice President to join our International Consumer Banking (ICB) Risk Team.
In this role, you will coordinate and deliver governance, documentation, and regulatory change requirements. You will also play a critical role in enhancing our risk governance framework, ensuring effective identification, assessment, management, and reporting of risks across the organization.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead EU-specific risk governance efforts and support local regulatory requirements and submissions in collaboration with Risk colleagues and senior stakeholders.
- Support the Risk Governance Centre of Excellence as secretariat for Risk Committees and Forums.
- Coordinate the review, drafting, amending, and publication of Risk policies, standards, manuals, and procedures in line with local requirements and governance standards, providing guidance to Risk colleagues as needed.
- Review Risk legal obligations, working with stakeholders to map them to policies, procedures, and processes.
- Support ad-hoc governance and documentation projects, including EU expansion working groups.
- Promote a culture of risk awareness and best practices in risk management across the organization.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor\’s degree or background in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or related fields.
- Experience with EU banking regulations and risk management standards, with a focus on risk governance within financial services.
- Knowledge of Retail Deposits and/or Consumer Credit.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience acting as secretariat for Committees.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to establish credibility with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple initiatives in a dynamic environment.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and escalate issues when necessary; a team-oriented mindset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a methodical approach.
