Commercial Planning Manager (m/f/d)
Position:
The Commercial Planning Manager is accountable for translating JTI Switzerland commercial strategy into robust, data-driven plans and execution priorities across channels/customers. The role leads the integrated planning cadence (targets, forecasts, initiatives, performance reviews) and supports decision-making through insights, scenario planning, and cross-functional alignment.

- Commercial planning & performance management: Own the commercial planning cycle (annual/quarterly/monthly), track KPIs, identify gaps/opportunities, and drive corrective actions with Sales/Key Account teams. - Demand and volume planning interface: Coordinate inputs and assumptions across Commercial, Finance, and Supply/Demand Planning to improve forecast quality and ensure aligned volume plans. - Channel/customer strategy support: Support channel and key-account planning (assortment, availability, activation priorities, execution standards) and ensure plans are translated into measurable deliverables. - Business insights & analytics: Build a strong insights agenda using available data ( , sell-in/sell-out proxies, outlet performance, execution metrics), develop dashboards, and provide actionable recommendations. - Initiative and project coordination: Run cross-functional routines for key commercial initiatives ( , launches, trade programs, execution improvements), ensuring timelines, responsibilities, and governance are clear. - Governance and ways of working: Maintain standard planning templates, KPI definitions, and planning discipline; continuously improve processes and ensure documentation quality. - Stakeholder management: Act as a key interface between Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and external partners (where applicable) to ensure “one commercial plan”.
Requirements:
- Higher education in business administration or similar. - Solid experience in the field, ideally in the areas of business analysis and key account management. Knowledge of the local market is an advantage. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong analytical and strategic thinking. - Team player attitude with a determined personality. - Very good knowledge of English, good German and French would be an advantage. - Thorough knowledge in Business Intelligence (Power BI) and profound IT Skills (Data-Management, Power Apps, Power Automate, SQL, etc.).
