Learn more: jti.com Chemical Science and Method Development Lead (m/f/d) In this newly established key role, you will lead one of three divisions within our Chemical Analysis and Science Department. Alongside your team you will cultivate a culture of excellence, innovation, and compliance to address evolving analytical requirements. Position: You will: * Provide Leadership and Vision: lead and develop your team in alignment with JTI\’s business goals, leveraging analytical capabilities and ensuring compliance with customer demands and global regulations * Drive Analytical Excellence and Innovation: lead the development and validation of new analytical methods across diverse matrices, employ cutting-edge technologies and ensure method accuracy, precision, and robustness, while supporting a comprehensive quality management system through documented procedures, training programs and regular audits * Drive effective Project Management and Capabilities Enhancement: lead method development projects, systematically investigate chemical-related issues from external feedback, and efficiently manage spontaneous requests from internal stakeholders Within 6 months you will: * Champion continuous improvement within your division, fostering a culture of quality and encouraging exploration of new technologies to enhance analytical capabilities * Represent JTI in international standards committees and foster knowledge transfer with peers globally Requirements: * PhD in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or related field (master degree may be considered with extensive experience) * Minimum 5 years experience in a leadership role managing a team of scientists within a research and development environment * Proven track record of developing and implementing innovative analytical methods for various applications * In-depth knowledge of instrumental analysis techniques and their applications as well as data evaluation software * Excellent leadership and management competencies * Fluent in English and German What to expect: * Attractive, flexible, and family-friendly working conditions with state-of-the-art laboratory facilities in a top Vienna location * Company car or car allowance * Position-specific training and development opportunities to foster long-term growth together * Annual gross salary of at least EUR100.000 if above requirements are met, with the potential for overpayment based on qualifications and experience Are you ready to join us?
