Operations Planning & Analysis (OPA) Lead
Location: Germany, Munich (on-site)
The company and business sits in a tightly regulated, high-stakes industry and is transitioning from small-batch production into full-volume manufacturing, this hire is central to making that jump work.
You'd step into a lean, senior operations group at a make-or-break moment for the business: output is ramping fast, but there's no established planning cadence yet. You'd be the one to create it, working hand-in-hand with a BI/Reporting Analyst and reporting straight to the director Operations Exellence.
WHAT THIS ROLE IS REALLY ABOUT
This is the person who turns operational chaos into a reliable rhythm. You'll architect and run the sales & operations planning cycle, decide what gets measured and how, and produce the weekly and monthly reporting that leadership uses to actually steer the business. Nothing here exists yet — you're building the entire planning infrastructure from a blank page, and growing a small team as you go.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Architect and drive the S&OP cycle, bringing demand, supply, inventory, and financial views into one coherent picture
- Decide the operational KPI set from scratch — what gets tracked, how often, and by whom
- Own the weekly and monthly leadership reporting packages, including actuals-vs-plan and the story behind the variances
- Work closely with the BI/Reporting Analyst to make sure the numbers rest on solid data foundations
- Turn loose operational questions into repeatable analytical models and tools
- Hire, coach, and manage a Planning Analyst and a BI/Reporting Analyst
- Serve as the trusted analytical link between the operations floor and the executive team
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 7 to 10 years working in supply chain, operations planning, or FP&A inside a manufacturing business
- A genuine builder, someone who has stood up or overhauled a planning process, not simply run one that already existed
- Proof that leadership has relied on reports you've produced to make real calls
- Strong modelling ability in Excel and/or SQL
- Hands-on background designing S&OP frameworks and KPI systems
- The confidence to tell leadership what they need to hear, communicated cleanly and without ego
- A degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
