Junior Portfolio Engineer, 100% (f/m/d)

Overview In this role you will strengthen our Investment Risk Portfolio Engineering team by delivering strategic asset allocation optimizations and quantitative analyses for large UHNW mandates. You will support portfolio construction, automate our data tools, and provide timely analytics to the Investment Committee. You will also engage with relationship managers and senior stakeholders to translate insights into bespoke solutions. This position offers the chance to shape asset allocation and risk management at a leading private bank, leveraging proprietary data platforms for scalable impact. Verantwortungsbereiche Deliver strategic asset allocation optimizations and quantitative analysis for large bespoke UHNW mandates to relationship managers; participate in client meetings when requested Maintain, automate, and improve proprietary financial data series database and related tools/processes Provide high-quality, timely quantitative support for the Investment Committee Support portfolio managers for portfolio construction and optimize bespoke mandates for UHNW clients Zentrale Anforderungen Master’s degree in a quantitative subject or PhD; 2+ years of relevant experience Hands-on experience with portfolio optimization (a plus) Strong IT skills including programming and data analysis Working knowledge of MATLAB (or similar) and databases (e.g., MS Access) Proficiency in English; German or French (spoken and written) Comfort presenting results to groups of portfolio managers and senior management Highly motivated, reliable, and well-organized team player presentation skills cross-functional collaboration reliability MATLAB MS Access portfolio optimization
