Overview
As Strategic Financial Controller, you will translate financial data into actionable insights to drive profitability for Julius Baer’s Private Banking in Western Markets & Switzerland. You’ll join a seasoned Finance team that partners with regional senior management to anticipate trends and support decision-making. You will enhance reporting, build quantitative models, and support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analyses. This role offers exposure to senior stakeholders and opportunities to advance regional financial planning and data automation.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Support management reporting and controlling to steer performance; enhance reporting and design new products to advance revenue and cost frameworks
- Perform quantitative analyses and prepare presentations for senior management
- Build and maintain complex quantitative models translating financial data into insights
- Act as sparring partner to Front with exposure to senior management across the bank
- Support regional financial planning and performance processes (budgeting, forecasting, scenario analysis)
- Contribute to strategic finance topics/initiatives to achieve financial objectives
- Develop tools for greater automation and more timely data usage
Zentrale Anforderungen
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Econometrics or comparable field
- 4–5 years of experience in a comparable finance or related function within banking/financial industry or equivalent
- Strong interest in Private Banking and global financial markets; banking environment advantageous
- Excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills with a focus on quantitative modelling
- Advanced Excel and data handling; programming (VBA/Python/SQL/R) and data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI) proficiency a plus
- Advanced PowerPoint skills and ability to automate presentation content with data updates
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with senior stakeholders
- Independent, proactive, efficient and meticulous with a results-oriented mindset
- Fluent in English; German is a plus
