Overview
As a System Architect in Julius Baer’s System Architects team within global IT Architecture, you design solution architectures for delivery-focused applications and ensure alignment with target architectures. You manage architecture debt and drive Architecture Decision Records (ADR) with architecture boards. You coach software engineers on implementation and support lifecycle phases from testing to operations. You collaborate with domain and foundation teams to shape scalable, standards-compliant solutions that advance the firm’s wealth-management platform.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Design solution architectures for delivery-focused applications
- Ensure architectures adhere to standards and align with target domain architectures
- Identify and manage architecture debt between transition and target architectures
- Initiate and document Architecture Decisions (ADR) and obtain board approvals
- Advise and coach software engineers on implementation and feasibility
- Support later software lifecycle phases: testing, release, and operations
Zentrale Anforderungen
- 3+ years as a senior architect
- 5+ years as a lead or senior software engineer
- Experience with SAP solutions, especially S4/HANA, BW/HANA, BTP
- Strong understanding of Financial Accounting and Management Accounting
- Knowledge of IFRS and Swiss GAAP in financial services
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions
- Ability to abstract complex topics and focus on key architecture decisions
- Collaborative development with business and technology stakeholders and architecture colleagues
- Proactive mindset, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Experience with current architecture styles: event-driven, microservices, modular monolith
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
