As the ideal Account Director (d/f/m), you are both strategist and relationship builder.
You maintain a firm grasp of the saddle, demonstrate a deep understanding of customers, markets and brands and know how to successfully steer a large, complex brand through fast-changing communication environments.
You combine an entrepreneurial mindset with creative excellence and operational clarity.
Responsibilities
- Advises clients on strategic, creative, and business decisions.
- Identifies opportunities for account growth.
- Takes full responsibility for projects and overall account performance.
- Manages budgeting, forecasting and profitability.
- Leads scope, contract and pricing negotiations.
- Responsible for training, developing and mentoring the account team.
- Identifies talent within the team and supports career development.
- Ensures efficient workflows, resource planning and performance standards.
- Provides final oversight and approval for deliverables, presentations and strategic work.
- Provides hands‑on operational leadership for day‑to‑day operations, stepping in where needed to ensure timely execution, clear ownership and cross‑functional alignment.
- Manages escalations and ensures smooth day‑to‑day operations.
- Maintains an effective flow of information to the Client Service Director / Management.
- Ensures integrated communication and alignment across all disciplines.
- Native German speaker with fluent English skills required.
