Description

As a Project Manager Engineering, you will lead and drive engineering and capital investment projects from concept to successful implementation. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project budgets and timelines, and ensure that technical, safety, quality, and sustainability requirements are met. Working closely with operations, maintenance, production, and external partners, you will deliver innovative engineering solutions that support the company's growth, efficiency, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute technical capital investment and improvement projects from concept development through commissioning.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor plant modifications, process optimizations, and technical expansions.
  • Develop and implement sustainable technical solutions to improve efficiency, quality, and plant availability.
  • Manage and coordinate external service providers, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, EHS, and other functional departments.
  • Conduct technical analyses and develop and implement sustainable corrective actions to resolve operational and technical issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards as well as internal engineering guidelines.
  • Prepare, review, and approve technical documentation, specifications, and project records.
  • Participate in cross-site and international projects.
  • Provide technical support for investment decisions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, technicians, and external partners.

Qualifications

  • Successfully completed degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a comparable field.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in an engineering, production, or project environment within an industrial company.
  • Solid knowledge of project management as well as the planning and execution of technical projects.
  • In-depth expertise in the respective technical field and a good understanding of related disciplines.
  • Experience working with external service providers and engineering partners.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently address complex technical challenges.
  • Structured, analytical, and results-oriented way of working.
  • High level of personal accountability and the ability to manage projects independently and successfully.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working in cross-functional teams.
  • Very good German and English skills
