Senior Information Technology Project Manager

Tasks:

• Perform analysis, support, and optimization of existing information systems
• Assess and design IT solutions, identifying business opportunities and potential risks
• Deliver trend analysis and oversight of project plans, including investigation, development, and upkeep of project-related data
• Stay informed about new technologies and project management methodologies
• Offer suggestions to enhance current project management practices
• Lead and facilitate workshops with R&D teams to collect system requirements
• Structure, document, and prioritize both functional and non-functional requirements
• Create an evaluation framework for objective comparison and selection of systems
• Execute market research and compile a shortlist of suitable system alternatives
• Coordinate and assist with vendor demonstrations and system presentations
• Evaluate candidate systems based on predefined criteria (e.g., usability, compatibility, scalability)
• Produce a decision report that includes a clear recommendation

Qualification:

• Completed studies in Engineering, Business Informatics, or a similar discipline
• Senior-level experience (7+ years) with a degree in computer science, business information systems, IT, or a related field
• Certification and practical knowledge in at least one programming language (.NET, Visual Basic, C++, SQL), plus hands‑on experience in an IT‑focused role
• Multiple years of experience introducing or assessing IT systems, ideally within the food industry
• Strong competencies in data handling and recipe management software; familiarity with AI‑driven analysis is advantageous
• Proven ability in facilitating workshops and managing requirements
• Knowledge of system evaluation methods and structured decision‑making approaches
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both German and English
