Your profile
- Completed studies in electrical engineering, energy systems, or a comparable qualification, ideally with further training as an electrical specialist
- Experience in grid compliance, certification, approval processes, or a similar field is desirable
- In-depth knowledge of relevant US standards and product requirements, such as UL1741, CSA C22.2, IEEE 1547, UL50E, UL1998, and NEC
- Basic knowledge of power electronics
- Familiarity with simulation tools such as PowerFactory, PSCAD, or PSSE is an advantage
- Experience with laboratory equipment and test setups is beneficial
- Excellent English skills, both written and spoken
- Good German skills are a strong advantage
- Solid MS Office skills

Your tasks
- Creating specifications for photovoltaic and battery inverters based on utility company guidelines and applicable American standards (primarily UL, including IEEE and CSA)
- Assisting in deriving requirement specifications and reviewing existing requirement documents
- Supporting and conducting standard-compliant measurements for certification (especially grid connection USA), including setup, execution, and supervision:
- Coordinating with external testing institutes and laboratories
- Performing in-house measurements and preparing self-declaration reports
- Clarifying technical questions with hardware and software teams
- Developing inverter simulation models relevant to certification
- Actively participate in standardization committees to identify technical trends early
- Providing technical support to related departments
- Regular exchange with our US colleagues – including occasional travel to the United States
