We’re looking for a Systems Administrator to join a technology business specialising in cybersecurity and cryptography. The role sits at the heart of the company’s infrastructure, helping maintain secure, reliable systems across a highly technical environment.
This is a hands‑on position covering Linux infrastructure, networking, virtualisation, security and automation, with responsibility for maintaining and improving the company’s IT environment.
Responsibilities
- Administration and maintenance of Linux, Windows and FreeBSD systems
- Installation and management of Linux servers and Docker environments
- Administration of VMware, Proxmox or KVM
- Management of network infrastructure, including routers and switches
- Monitoring, troubleshooting, patching and performance optimisation
- Infrastructure automation using Bash, Python and Ansible
- Supporting IT security, ISMS and ISO 27001 requirements
- User support and incident management
- Supporting infrastructure projects, migrations and technology rollouts
- Maintaining technical documentation
Requirements
- Professional experience in Systems Administration / IT Infrastructure
- Good knowledge of networking and virtualisation
- Scripting experience with Bash and/or Python
- Experience with Ansible is advantageous
- Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB or Oracle is beneficial
- Fluent German (C1+) and good English
