Kapsch TrafficCom AG is looking for a professional Commissioning Engineer (f/m/d) to join their Roadside Software and Back Office developers. Unify and standardize the development environments and the deployment of the software solution which consists of the Roadside Software core along with its back office application. Your Responsibilities: * Commissioning, integration, and testing of tolling systems in international customer projects. * Collaborate with development teams across multiple locations (Austria, Argentina, Sweden, US) and with third-party suppliers. * Set up and maintain test and commissioning environments, including hardware prototypes, laboratory setups, and network configurations. * Integrate proprietary and third-party products into a fully functional customer solution (both software & hardware). * Plan, specify, and execute factory and site acceptance tests (FAT & SAT). * Provide third-level support for customer projects, including on-call duty. Your Profile: * Completed technical education in informatics, engineering, electronics, or a related field. * Experience in integrating hardware and software components in various technical environments. * Strong knowledge of network setup and common IT services. * Hands-on approach: comfortable using tools like a ratchet wrench and screwdriver on-site. * Ability to troubleshoot issues in a structured and analytical manner. * Willingness to travel internationally for customer installations and commissioning. * Experience with usability testing and/or network configurations is a plus. * ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) certification or equivalent is beneficial. * Basic software development skills and familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Xray, GitLab, and Azure are an advantage. * Scripting knowledge (e.g., Linux shell, Python, SoapUI, PowerShell) is a plus. * Fluent in spoken and written English; German is a plus.
