The IAM-AWP conducts research and development on metallic and non-metallic materials as well as their composites. Material-physical structure--microstructure--property relationships are investigated using a wide range of modern analytical and simulation methods. The behavior of materials in components, coatings, and structural parts is examined.

Your Tasks

  • Leadership of the Chemical Analytics working group
  • Sample preparation, sample analysis, and data evaluation
  • Methodological planning and execution of analytical work in accordance with international quality management standards
  • Support of scientific projects from an analytical perspective
  • Preparation of scientific publications in the field of analytics

Your Profile

You have:

  • A university degree (Master’s) in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a comparable field, ideally complemented by a completed PhD
  • Experience with analytical methods such as ICP-OES, XRF, and similar techniques, as well as with complex sample digestion procedures
  • Expertise in analytical quality assurance procedures and regulations
  • Ideally, experience in personnel management
  • Knowledge of and/or willingness to collaborate within scientific projects
  • Excellent English language skills

Salary Salary category 14 TV-L; classification is based on personal and professional qualifications.
