The IAM-AWP conducts research and development on metallic and non-metallic materials as well as their composites. Material-physical structure--microstructure--property relationships are investigated using a wide range of modern analytical and simulation methods. The behavior of materials in components, coatings, and structural parts is examined.
Your Tasks
- Leadership of the Chemical Analytics working group
- Sample preparation, sample analysis, and data evaluation
- Methodological planning and execution of analytical work in accordance with international quality management standards
- Support of scientific projects from an analytical perspective
- Preparation of scientific publications in the field of analytics
Your Profile
You have:
- A university degree (Master’s) in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a comparable field, ideally complemented by a completed PhD
- Experience with analytical methods such as ICP-OES, XRF, and similar techniques, as well as with complex sample digestion procedures
- Expertise in analytical quality assurance procedures and regulations
- Ideally, experience in personnel management
- Knowledge of and/or willingness to collaborate within scientific projects
- Excellent English language skills
