The Institute for Biological and Chemical Systems – Biological Information Processing (IBCS-BIP) is looking for a talented student assistant.
We are exploring groundbreaking approaches in the field of fluid robotics, particularly the use of optically controlled flows for precise micromanipulation of biological cells and microrobotics.
Your tasks will include software development for new screening and microscopy methods. Specifically, your duties will include:
- Software development in LabVIEW
- Integration of Python routines in LabVIEW
- Maintenance and improvement of existing LabVIEW programs with a focus on performance
- Synchronization of various hardware components
- Control and monitoring of existing microscopes and adapted protocols for new functions
Your qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of LabVIEW
- Strong interest and understanding of optically controlled flows and/or fluid robotics.
- Analytical skills and the ability to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills and a collaborative mindset
- basic knowledge or interest to understand biological mechanims and experiments
