Role: Regional People Partner (Germany)

This role involves supporting our organization operationally as the local German expert, offering strong partnership and mentorship to global People & Culture (P&C) teams, leadership, and employees. It requires a deep understanding of local legislation and employment practices, aligned with the global People agenda, ensuring partnership and alignment with global Business Partners and the company\'s vision.

This position is based in Berlin, requiring at least 2-3 days per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as the main contact for managers and employees in Germany, building trust-based relationships and implementing People & Culture initiatives for approximately 110 employees across 5 departments.
  2. Utilize expert knowledge of regional legislation to advise and support, mitigating legal risks.
  3. Address complex employee relations and performance issues collaboratively with Legal, focusing on positive outcomes.
  4. Coach and advise managers on topics such as compensation, performance, development, leadership, career growth, and compliance.
  5. Contribute to local talent planning, including talent acquisition, employee development, and retention efforts.
  6. Partner with Business Partners to identify team needs and implement strategies aligned with company goals.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional P&C teams to meet organizational needs and ensure compliance with local legislation updates.
  8. Ensure policies are regularly reviewed and legislative changes communicated promptly.
  9. Support cyclical processes like engagement surveys, performance management, and training facilitation.
  10. Drive improvements in the P&C function, support organizational changes, restructuring, and conduct legal investigations as needed.
  11. Work with global teams to achieve company objectives.

Qualifications:

  1. At least 6 years of HR experience in a dynamic environment.
  2. Expert knowledge of German employment law and its application.
  3. Experience working in a global technology company.
  4. Ability to work independently and proactively in a high-performance setting.
  5. Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and collaboration.
  6. Proactive, adaptable, and client-focused approach.
  7. Data-driven in supporting HR initiatives.
  8. Patience, discretion, and attention to detail.
  9. Excellent coaching, communication, and organizational skills.
  10. Fluent in English and German.
