Job Summary
Technician Supply (Medical Supply) supports APS-2 Class VIII medical supply operations by performing technical inventory management, warehouse, accountability, and documentation functions for medical materiel and equipment. The position assists with receiving, storing, issuing, shipping, inventorying, and maintaining accountability of medical supplies while ensuring accurate records and supporting medical readiness requirements. Responsibilities include shelf-life management, temperature-sensitive product controls, HAZMAT compliance, inventory accuracy, and audit-ready documentation in accordance with Army regulations, medical logistics policies, contract requirements, site SOPs, and Government direction.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, verify, store, issue, ship, and process turn-ins of Class VIII medical supplies, equipment, and related materiel. Verify quantities, condition, National Stock Numbers (NSNs), lot numbers, serial numbers, expiration dates, and supporting documentation against applicable supply records.
- Maintain accurate supply records, transaction files, inventory data, storage locations, and supporting documentation within authorized logistics systems.
- Perform technical supply functions to support Class VIII accountability, inventory management, stock positioning, and medical materiel readiness requirements.
- Utilize Government-approved automated logistics systems to process, track, and maintain medical supply transactions and inventory actions.
- Support medical materiel operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, staging, replenishment, redistribution, retrograde, and turn-in activities.
- Maintain location accountability, shelf-life records, condition codes, bin locations, and audit-ready documentation.
- Conduct cyclic, special, and wall-to-wall inventories; perform causative research; and assist with reconciliation and discrepancy resolution efforts.
- Manage shelf-life and expiration-controlled medical materiel through FIFO rotation, segregation of unserviceable or expired items, and turn-in processing.
- Support temperature-sensitive medical product requirements by monitoring storage conditions, documenting deviations, and maintaining required records.
- Handle, store, package, and prepare hazardous or regulated medical materiel in accordance with applicable HAZMAT, safety, transportation, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and maintain DD Form 1348-1A, packing lists, issue documents, turn-in documents, inventory records, and other required supply documentation.
- Coordinate with warehouse personnel, transportation, maintenance, quality, HSE, and Government representatives to support mission requirements.
- Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, when trained, licensed, and authorized.
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and compliant work area in accordance with applicable safety and warehouse standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, And Certifications)
- Due to immigration and work authorization requirements, applicants must be either U.S. Citizens or citizens of a European Union (EU) member state.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in logistics, supply chain management, warehouse operations, medical logistics, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience in supply operations, logistics, inventory management, warehouse operations, medical logistics, or related technical supply activities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of inventory management, supply accountability, receiving, storage, issue, turn-in processing, logistics documentation, and technical supply procedures.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and process supply documentation, including shipping, receipt, turn-in, and inventory records.
- Knowledge of inventory control, shelf-life management, FIFO processes, location accuracy, and audit-ready recordkeeping practices.
- Familiarity with automated logistics and inventory management systems; experience with TEWLS, DMLSS/DML-ES, or other DoD logistics systems preferred.
- Knowledge of temperature-sensitive medical product handling, cold-chain requirements, HAZMAT procedures, SDS utilization, and regulated medical materiel controls.
- HAZMAT 12 certification or the ability to obtain certification within the required timeframe.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain required site access, system access, licenses, certifications, and training necessary to perform assigned duties.
- Forklift or material handling equipment certification, or the ability to obtain certification if assigned MHE duties.
- Ability to lift, move, stage, and handle warehouse materiel safely in accordance with site and HSE requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operational setting and adapt to changing mission requirements and priorities.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Valid passport with a minimum of 12 months validity and at least six blank pages.
Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, And Certifications)
- Experience supporting APS-2, USAMMA, Army medical logistics, Class VIII supply operations, military supply activities, or medical warehouse operations.
- Experience using TEWLS, DMLSS, DML-ES, FEDLOG, FLIS, WEBSDR, or other Government supply and medical logistics systems.
- Experience supporting inventory reconciliation, causative research, discrepancy resolution, audits, inspections, or compliance reviews.
- Current HAZMAT certification and training related to hazardous materials transportation, shelf-life management, cold-chain operations, or medical materiel handling.
- Current forklift or material handling equipment certification and experience operating warehouse equipment in military, medical, or distribution environments.
