Our client is a leading international main contractor with a proven track record of delivering some of Europe's largest and most technically complex construction projects.

As part of their continued expansion within the mission‑critical sector, they are looking to appoint an experienced

Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a flagship hyperscale data centre development in Frankfurt.

This is an outstanding opportunity to become part of a high‑performing commercial team delivering one of Europe's most significant data centre projects.

You'll play a key role in the commercial management of the project, working alongside industry‑leading professionals in a fast‑paced and collaborative environment.

The Role

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the commercial management of major construction packages from procurement through to final account.

Working closely with project teams, subcontractors and the client, you will help ensure the successful commercial delivery of this landmark hyperscale data centre.

This role would suit an experienced contractor‑side Quantity Surveyor who enjoys working on large, technically challenging projects and is looking to further their career within one of the fastest‑growing sectors in construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the commercial delivery of major construction packages throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and manage procurement strategies, tender evaluations and subcontract awards.
  • Administer subcontract agreements, valuations, variations and final accounts.
  • Produce accurate cost reporting, forecasting and cash flow analysis.
  • Monitor project budgets and identify opportunities to improve commercial performance.
  • Assess and manage change events, compensation events and contractual claims.
  • Work closely with operational teams to ensure commercial and programme objectives are achieved.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company commercial procedures.

About You

We're looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong contractor background and a proven track record of delivering major construction projects.

You will have

  • Previous experience working for a recognised main contractor.
  • Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
  • Experience managing subcontractor procurement and commercial administration.
  • Excellent cost reporting, forecasting and financial management skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary project team.

Previous hyperscale or mission‑critical data centre experience would be highly advantageous.

However, we would also like to hear from candidates who have delivered complex construction projects in sectors such as:

  • Major Infrastructure

Previous main contractor experience is essential.

  • Experience in Contract Management.
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Professional membership (MRICS or equivalent) is advantageous but not essential.

Salary & Benefits

Basic salary of €90,000–€100,000 , depending on experience.
